Our Extended Boxer Family
Adrian,
I wanted to comment about our boxer pup Nelly whom we purchased from you at the end of September 2016. In the little over a year we have had Nelly we have been impressed in a number of ways. We have been boxer owners since 1987. We love the boxer for a number of reasons which have to do with physical beauty & physical prowess as well as a delightful personality and what’s best expressed as love of home and family loyalty. We have found Nelly to possess those qualities, plus. First of all she is an intact dog. Nothing has been removed at birth or soon after. What’s most obvious is the tail. When you watch Nelly move and she does love to move she uses her tail quite a bit for balance and body control. Not surprising since she has not had part of her spinal column removed via tail docking as most other boxer breeders do. We were thrilled to find a breeder who does not dock tails or crop ears & dew claws. We were also thrilled to find a breeder who insists on feeding biologically appropriate food to his puppies. That meant we were getting a boxer puppy who was already off to a great head start on good health. We have a large yard with many of piles of wood and some stone walls and other features which encourage activities that require athleticism. Nelly will frequently go for a run at full speed and she covers the entire yard from front to back and both sides of the house in seconds it seems. She runs full out on these laps when she can, extending her body through the air above the obstacles leaping like an antelope. Boxers love to run but Nelly runs with an abandon and confidence that is unusual, beautiful and entertaining to watch. I recently took her to a beginner’s agility class. She was a star. She did great being around the other dogs. She paid attention and mastered the various obstacles and tasks with ease. Her puppy nonsense behavior, which we love, disappeared and she demonstrated an attention to performing tasks correctly which surprised me. She is more disciplined naturally than I am. Nelly was eight weeks old when we brought her home and she was immediately house broken. She is good with our older boxer and they are great partners. She is my first boxer to reliably fetch and retrieve. Her personality is sweet, charming & affectionate with family, friends and neighbors. She is also a very good watch dog and since she has arrived delivers a surprisingly gruff base profundo bark to let us know someone has arrived, or that rabbit is back again! She is a pleasure, we love her antics every day, and we are looking forward to helping her reach her full potential as a pet boxer & family member. When we need another we will certainly come back to you. Regards, Bob C. of Barrington, IL 1/4/2018 |
Adrian,
We wanted to let you know how extremely happy we are since purchasing a puppy from you. We have a classic fawn male named Hogan from Icon and Black Jaxx. He was born in April 2017. We have raised four boxers and Hogan possesses all the traits any boxer lover would want. Aside from being a fantastic looking boxer, he is also crazy athletic, funny, sweet, strong, and highly social. He loves going on both road and mountain bike rides as well as runs with the girls. Two of the most important traits for us were health and temperament. The only way to ensure both was to buy from an outstanding boxer breeder as opposed to rescuing. We have 7 and 9 year old daughters and Hogan adores them. He naps with them, gently wrestles, plays tag for hours, and will absolutely protect them if needed. He’s like a different dog when he wrestles with a male adult vs the kids. With your long line of healthy and cancer-free boxers, we are assured knowing that Hogan will very likely have a healthy and strong life. Lastly, the ongoing support we’ve received would never be possible buying from a backyard breeder or rescue dog. We’ve sent dozens of texts and calls both before and after receiving Hogan. There are a lot of decisions to make with regards to diet, exercising, training, vaccinations etc. and we know we can always rely on your help. Any boxer going forward for us will be from Chicagoland Boxers! Thanks again- Joe, Miranda, Mikayla, and Allison R. Grand Rapids MI 1/14/18 |
A little over a year and half ago, we were fortunate to have welcomed Manny, our third boxer into our family after having lost Rocky to cancer about a month prior. After doing extensive research and after speaking in detail with Adrian Moreno, the owner of Chicagoland Boxers regarding his unparalleled commitment to breeding healthy, athletic and well tempered dogs, we decided adopt Manny. We have absolutely no regrets as he has been a tremendous addition to our family. Although tender-hearted and playful, he is also an excellent "protector" of our home and children. He is phenomenal with both children and adults alike and is extremely aware of his surroundings at all times. Additionally, he is very intelligent and active. He regularly joins Julie and I for long walks, bike rides and loves to be outside in general. I have owned boxers for the past 18 years and Manny is the healthiest and most well tempered boxer we have ever had! Thank you Adrian for the genuine care and concern you continue to demonstrate in raising your dogs! -- Donn and Julie Mendoza Round Lake, IL |
